About Heidi Hall
I am a 20-year resident of Roseville and mom to three sons, all in local public schools. I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in Nutritional Science and have made this area my home ever since.
I was a program manager for the City of Roseville for nine years where I helped manage adult and youth classes and camps. In addition I worked for Adventure Christian church and served as a Leadership Volunteer for their MOPS program for seven years. My current career in Health and Nutrition has led me into amazing positions at two major health facilities in Roseville and I have had the opportunity to lead strong teams centered around health education.
I’m deeply rooted in the community and the passion I have around children and education started as a child, helping my mom in her classroom where she was a Special Education teacher for 45 years. My oldest son begins high school next year and I care deeply about that opportunity for all children. Let’s get our young people back in school.
WHAT I BELIEVE
I’m running for Roseville Joint Union High School District board because I believe in the value of public education. I want to work with teachers, parents and the community to ensure Roseville students receive a first-class education. I want to work with county health officials, school administrators, teachers and the community as a whole in the safe reopening of our schools for in-person education.
We need to get our kids back in school. Kids are missing out on their freshman year, sports, homecoming and all of the wonderful events that our high school years afford. We need our seniors to have a graduation ceremony. These are important life events that we have the ability to make happen.
Regardless of how our schools administer education this semester or this year, I promise that I will make every effort to prepare our students for the workforce of the ever-changing global economy and have the tools to be ready for college.
I am prepared to tackle the quality-of-education, equity and fiscal challenges facing us as a community.
I want to make sure our school environment and school curriculum are safe. Our world is changing around us but what shouldn’t change are our expectations that our kids education be from political bias.
My background enables me to ask key questions, research viable solutions and negotiate agreeable outcomes. These skills, along with my empathy for each child, are needed to face the District’s challenges.
As a successful business owner and former program manager, I understand the realities of working with a budget.
If elected, I’ll diligently work toward retaining and recruiting highly qualified teachers, developing and supporting academic initiatives that will prepare our children.
As your board member, I will work to ensure our taxpayer dollars are spent directly in the class-room and provide for special needs students.
I look forward to working together with our community to secure quality education for all our students. I would be honored to have your vote.
